I train with a bunch of crooks

So about one year ago my gym started providing small and medium-sized towels which was a benefit since I used them when I shower. It kept me from packing my own and I liked it.

Well the front desk just told me this morning that they will discontinue this benefit because they have lost over 500 towels since they started this.

Digging deep in my gym bag I found one towel that I failed to return from my last workout and stuffed it in the hamper on the way out.

I train with a bunch of crooks!

Better than training with a bunch of drug dealers and gangsters like I did until recently. I don't like to make assumptions about people, but when a guy in the gym has bullet hole scars on his back and is screaming into a phone, "If I don't get my money by Friday he's f***ing dead!", there's not a lot of gray area.

Yeah those guys are the worst. It's a sad state of affairs if you can't put your phone down for 45minutes to do a workout.

in my gym they used to be free too, but now it is 1 dollar per towel. i am guessing it is for the same reason! I just bring my own, or if I don't feel like packing a bag i will just wait til I get home to shower.

I'm still outraged at the whole towel fiasco.

Our gym discontinued towel service except for those who "pay for towel service with their membership" for an additional $30/month added onto their monthly fee.

Goodness. All this over a piece of material that probably cost the gym 30-cents in bulk? Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Suggest a policy like they have at the gym I'm using now. They trade you keys for a towel. You want your keys back...you turn in your towel. Otherwise, it's a long walk home.
