Moving servers this weekend (7/29/2005)

Geoff will be turning the site off on Friday and then sending me the files and the database. I will change the DNS info so that DF points to one of my servers and I'll get DF back online ASAP. Please be ready for the community to be down all weekend, but in fact it may only be a few hours. I plan to run some maintenance on the site at the same time, so it will be closed while I do that also.

Geoff and I had a bit of a mis-communication in regards to moving the site. We are going to be moving it ASAP. Most likely tomorrow. You will see the site be closed. that is when he will backup the database and then send me all the files. We will try to have the site backup quite quickly.

some members might still be having DNS issues. within 48 hours they should all be resolved.
