As you can see I have been making a few template changes. I am still working on them so look for some more changes soon.

I don't like the little subject area in each post filled with the default yellow note thing. Takes up extra space for no reason.

yes i agree with gcs, I think that is what he is talking about. that extra little subject line is IMO useless.

I agree too, let me figure out the best way to deal with this. I think it should be a conditional item that only shows if a post has title, if not then be blank...

Great input keep it coming...

I am still working on all kinds of things but will only get bursts of time in the next week. Please note that I still have a LOT of tweaking to do and will get the home page looking much better and with proper information so our seasoned members and new guests can both see relevant info...

Please post your feedback to this discussion so I can work from this list.

I don't like the new stats, buddy list and birthday boxes on the sides of the search.php page. EX: when I search for new posts I lose half the space in boxes instead of thread info. Put them at the bottom or somewhere where not everyone is forced to see the info.

I will work on making that optional. Also, one of the goals is to have a left column on every page but put more navigational elements there. I plan to set that up next. There will also be an area for us to have smaller vendor buttons and other content. So give me a while to 'evolve' the left column. (But I will look into a way to make it optional too).

How about turning the IMG code on in all forums. That will allow me to post using more smilies
And thanks Andy

I need to 'catch up' on why they were not turned on in all forums before. I think I read there was a reason for it. Once I get the story, I will get back to you on this. Off the top of my head I don't see a reason to restrict it on a forum by forum basis, but don't forget I am still a newbie here...

Hey Andy, that's exactly what I meant :

The only other thing a little off in my opinion is the usernames are like size 80 billion font lol. Can you shrink them down a bit? I know we got some geezers on this forum...no names....so I can understand if you wanna keep it big

Edit: I just noticed the Stat box and all that stuff that I think Lady C mentioned. Seems unnecessary and cluttering as well.

I miss the link back to the forum list when you are on a thread or post page.
