1 handed push ups ..

Seems to be one of my main goals at present .. is such a harsh contrast in difficulty compared to the usual 2 handed push ups. Any certain techniques I should be doing to help me accomplish this?

1 handed push ups must cause a lot of strain on the wrist/hand so I make sure I stretch appropriatly but any one have any tips?

Keep your legs spread out. I think the farther your legs are spread out the easier it is. Probably because you don't have to balance with your arm/hand. How many one hand push ups can you do?

other than stretching properly i recommend doing them on a soft surface, or with a lifting glove or something like that, however make sure you cant "roll around" on your palm it feels hell nasty, and always keep your back straight otherwise you'll feel them for a week.

When I do one handed pushups, I make sure my legs are spread out because otherwise it's near impossible to keep balanced. Also, i find it helps if i keep my off hand behind my back.

For further information consult the Rocky training montage.
