7 days rest = loss of strength?
How much strength would you lose if you took a whole entire week (7 days straight) off?
I took a scheduled break, and I think I averaged about an average loss of one rep...

No matter whether speaking of strength or endurance, I've never noticed any loss in a week's time. If you are working out intensely, a week off might actually allow you to come back stronger than before.

Yep. I usually take an entire week off of everything about once every couple months. It's good to give your body a little break and for your system to level out a bit. Then when you come back, you're able to lift even more. Just remember that the week off doesnt include diet. This week is critical for proper carb reloading and protein intake. If you dont, then yeah you might feel weaker when you start up again.

Agreed, one week off is more of a boost then a loss.

I had to take off pretty much all of last week, because I was not feeling well. If anything, I gained reps, and increased weight on a couple of my machines. Then again, I've been working out every week for almost 2 months 4-5x a week before I took this break.

Aye a week wont do much (If any harm) and as said above, it will prolly help. The loss of strength usually comes from extended breaks from the gym (1 month or more).

even taking long breaks say 2 months, if you keep up a good diet, you will find stregth and size retruns fairly quickly, within about a 2-3 weeks of consistant training your stregth should be back to normal or fairly close. size may take a bit more time to gain back but no where near how long it took you to gain it in the first place

i have to say that even if i lift intensely, if i take a week break i usually lose some strength gains, mostly on my chest, cuz i find i gotta bench often to keep my body used to it. legs are fine and my back barely gets worse. my chest is a little weaker but thats about it. i wouldn't consuder it a big deal
