900 Pound Bench Press
Little bit on the heavy side. There are people saying a bench shirt will put 200 pounds on the lift. That would still leave a 700 pound lift!

Despite being able to bench that, the figure that guy possesses is awful.
Looks like he has a giant beer belly.

Power lifters don't go for aesthetics, simply strength.
Did that have sound when you saw it? Was just wondering if my sound was messed up or not.
It's funny how there are 5-6 spotters. It's obvious why, but it just looks funny with one guy pushing that weight and then 5-6 guys to spot him. I can't even comprehend pushing even 1/4 of that weight.

The guy is strong as hell. There's no doubt about that. But I'd love to see shirts be made illegal in powerlifting. It seems like the eagerness to see a heavier weight be lifted has outpaced the desire for a legitimate test of strength.

A bench shirt is an extemely tight shirt, usually takes about 2 people to help you get it on. They keep eveything tight but they also help with the lift. I'm sure Jaster can be more specific since he competes.

Yeah it's a shirt made of denim or canvas it fits real tight takes 2 to 3 people to stuff you in it. It buckles or velcros up the back (Kinda like a straight jacket) makes you feel like a sassague. I never use them. I compet in raw bench. That is just you no wraps, belts, gloves or anything other then your lifting suit.

Jaster, are there more powerlifting competitions that make you compete raw or that allow aids like bench shirts?

Glad to hear your bench is in the raw Jaster. That makes your weight all the more impressive.

Not to take anything away from that feat but that form was awful he would've been laughed at by Olympic judges.
