This is my first post here so forgive me if I say something that is "done" or whatever. Firstly, I just reviewed some stuff about a workout a did back around the beginning of this yr and noted that I did 10 upright rows one day, with 50 lbs. I VERY rarely do these. I recently did the "deck of cards" bodyweight routine, but instead of all bodyweight I used four exercises, two with weights, two just bodyweight. The weighted ones were Bench Press and Upright Row. I noted from reviewing the cards that I did 61 Upright Rows with 60 lbs during the deck of cards routine. Now I find this odd because I havent really worked out any, certainly not regularly, since around the start of the year, but I weighed around 160 lbs then, peaking at 167 lbs. Now, on the other hand, I am a small but cut, 140 lbs. I am wondering about weight gain. I don't wanna gain fat of course, and I'm a "hard gainer" or whatever they call it, so what could I do? I want the strength I have now (and then some), but the weight I had in January. I plan to continue with the deck of cards routine and another routine I picked up where you go nonstop for about 20 minutes because I have noted the most toning and definition through these two. Maybe I'm not gaining because these are pretty
high intensity workouts (esp the latter, but I tried to add the 'nonstop' element to the DOC one too), and are raising my metabolism thus burning more fat and the new muscles just replaces the fat, in a weight sense? Sorry if I sound stupid, I'm not completely enthralled with
weight lifting and just wanna add some muscle. Thanks for any tips and advice!
