about doing pushups/situps everyday....

Someone told me if I did as many pushups/situps as I can (about 100) each day, as my endurance gets better I'll lose fat from my upper body due to calories being burned. Is this true? plus if I do pushups alot, will my bench press get better?

you won't lose FAT ro the upperbody fatloss is evenly spread... i don't know about bench... probrably as your abs do have a contributing factor however small

hmmm.......use this if you want to get endurance

http://www.impulseadventure.com/weights/100push.html

its working for me........

and if your doing alot of push us to get your muscle endurance up, you wont be able to lift real heavy...... i know this coz i can do ALOT of pushups, last time i timed myself for a min i could do 68, but non stop last time i did it it was 84, cant bench real heavy though....ahhh well have to make up your mind on what you want to do.

i do it that way coz i do Muay Thai, and i have to be able to do alot of push ups...

You could concievably do enough push-ups and sit-ups to burn calories, but it would take forever to burn enough for significant fat loss. Also, it will not necessarily come from the upper body.

Wouldn't it be eaiser and faster to just go for a run?
