Hey..
I tried searching for an answer for this (and got 1000 some odd threads to wade through, gave up after a few pages), but I'm wondering how compatible aerobics and
weight lifting are with eachother? For instance, is it only one or the other, or is it a good bit of
weight training but only a little aerobics as I see many people doing here?
Long term I'd like to add some muscle as I consider myself skinny and lanky, but only up until a certain point. I'm moreso looking towards running as a means of keeping in shape.
Right now I'm running/walking about 40-50 minutes each morning, with weight training 3-4 times a week. How much does this have an impact on lifting? Can I or should I avoid doing the major leg excercises if I'm running anyway? Will running minimize muscle gains?
A few other questions directly related to the excercise itself - should I be running immediately before or after weight lifting? Or should I be running at a completely seperate time? Mainly I'm trying to not compromise my running routine while maximizing how much muscle I will be able to gain. Thanks.
