After a major workout - question about muscle building process

Last night, after a few days of rest, I had my new workout. Taking into account all that I have learn from you all over the last few days. I worked my arse off lifting heavier than ever and I really felt like I had a great workout. I lifted much heavier and did more sets, and I guess because of a few diet suggestions, like getting more calories and carbs before the workout, I was able to do MORE REPS than I was with the lighter weight and more sets as well. I did 4 excercises: Powercleans, Bench Press, Pull-Downs, Concentration Curls. In that order. I did 6 sets of each and did about a 6-8 rep max. And took 2-3 minutes before sets and the number of reps didn't go down from one set to the next nearly as much as it used to. I was still doing 5-7 reps on my last sets.

Here is my question though. My forearms and biceps are only a little sore at this point (it does seem to be getting worse though) and my whole back is pretty sore. The wierd thing that I have never experienced before is this: when pressing on my biceps and feeling around with my fingers I feel large loose bumps that feel like loose tendens or maybe swollen muscle fibers? I'm not sure. Is this normal? The muscle also seems significantly bigger than before my workout last night. I'm just hoping that I didn't mess my biceps up or something. There was no real pain at all during my workout.

Well I notice my bicepts get "pumped" after I finish my curls and whatnot. So I believe it's normal for your muscles to look bigger, because you just worked them!

For the most part if you do not feel pain during the workout you are probably okay. trust me if you riped a tendon while lifting you would know there was something wrong right away

Can't comment on the loose bumps, but to this:

Dh (dear husband) and I just started working out together. Last week after we did arms he wasn't too sore either. The next he came up to me and said "Check this out." He had this muscle there that he'd never seen before haha. Well, needless to say it was swollen from working it the day before, but it was pretty funny to see. How come I didn't get a bulging muscle? I worked heavy to failure too! hehe. Anyway, he said, "Well, that was fun I don't have to lift anymore because I'm already HUGE". This morning I remembered what he said and looked at his arms. I said "Honey, you deflated." It's back to it's normal puneyness .

Anyway, just saying that the "biggness" is normal. I don't know about the bumbs though. Maybe they are just something you've never taken notice of before. They could just be fatty deposits or something.
