Aiming for underwear model look

Hi guys,

I hope no ones posted about this, but I tried searching for it and couldn't find anything. Anyway, I haven't been lifting weights that long (since June) but I've noticed significant changes with my body.

I've been reading these boards alot and what I noticed is that alot of people want to get bigger or skinner. I tried to describe what I want to look like, but in the end it's easier to just show a picture.

I want to look something like that, not big, but muscular, but not small either. It's hard to explain. Anyway, how do you guys recommend I do this? I've been lifting weights using the 10-8-6 method (I put enough so I can only do those, then increase weight and so on). I've also been doing the Bulk/Cut phases. But I realized if I keep doing this I'll be big and I won't have the kind of body that the guy in that pic has.

Any suggestions will be helpful, i'm thinking of switching from high-weights/low-reps to lower weights/higher reps (for example, from 160 bench, 10-8-6 to 110 bench 25-20-15).

What do you think?

First off, take a sock and stuff it in your short.....no, no, no, just kidding!!!

Keep doing what you are doing, heavy weight and lowered reps. The 10 - 8 - 6 rep scheme you are using is working so there is no point in changing. Moving to lighter weights and higher reps won't get you the look you are after. Stay the course you are on and if your gym effort, diet, and genetics are there you will see the results you seek.

I could look at more pics like that! Yeah, baby!
You should post that pic somewhere where you are reminded what your goal is. It is a good motivator!

I was thinking of doing that Lady C, but I don't want people to come in to my house and think that I...play for the other team....not that there's anything wrong with that, but if you play for the NY Yankees you don't want people to think you play for the Mets...you know?

So you think I should continue with what I'm doing? I'm not going to get too big? An example I can give is the models chest. It's flat, as opposed to "bubbly" like most of the other body builders and weight lifters I see. Or is that just genetics (nothing you can do about it)? Or is it someone doing a higher amount of cardio than others?

I've already bought a nice pair of socks that I can use for the beach this summer

Part of the "look" is genetics, part of it is how much muscle you build. Build up first, worry about getting too big when it happens, lol.

i would just keep lifting weights as hard as possible and make sure you follow a strict diet. im sure most of his physique has to do with his diet, and he just lifts heavy. i mean, there is really no other way of going about it. getting results is pretty simple, on my opinion. hard work+knowledge+patience= results. good luck with it

In all my time reading boards, I don't think I have ever seen a guy say "my muscles are getting too big." Just lift and keep your bodyfat low and you will get there. BTW- Hope you bought some big socks if you want to fill out your underwear like him!!! haha
