First off, you need to take in more protein. At least 1g per pound of bodyfat. Second, don't work your abs every day. Like all muscles, they need at least 48 hours rest in order to recover and therefore grow.

7 days of weight training is going to burn you out. If you're hitting all of your major muscle groups hard at least once a week, that should be sufficient. I prefer a 3 day-split, and mine looks as follows:

day 1: chest/triceps/abs
day 2: shoulders/back
day 3: legs/biceps

Check out some of the journals on this site to see some other splits.

Your weight lifting won't suffer if you throw in some cardio twice, or three times a week. The key to losing bodyfat is what you're putting in your mouth. Check out the Diet & Nutrition section for some info/advice.

If you're only eating 70g of protein per day, then it sounds like you don't eat enough, period. I am eating 1700 - 1800 calories per day, no eggs or shakes, and I still manage 100 to 130 grams of protein per day.

When I switch to weight gaining, I'll up it to 2500 calories per day, and I'll add shakes, egg whjite omlettes, etc. to help get at least 160 grams of protein per day.

Note that even if you're eating plenty of food to support lean mass growth, but your workout regimen is weeny (inadequate to encourage muscle growth)... you won't gain anything but fat.

What are you doing with respect to weightlifting (resistance training)?
