Anything other than water that supposenly clears up skin?

Drinking good amount of water suposenly clears skin*not that I notice any difference*. Is there anything else that will help clear skin up that comes in a certain food or drink? Because this is ridiculous, having breakouts and hearing people thinking you don't take showers... Which makes no senseeeeeee...... Yeah, lifes hard and being single and seeing all my physical flaws isn't any fun.

I wanted to take accutane like jessica simpson did to fix her breakouts. But nooooooooooooo, I have no way in getting that because I have to have a doctor prescribe it... Which is bloody ridiculous, I should just be able to go to target and buy accutane. Why do I need to have a prescription if I have the money, it's not like accutane kills you or anything. STUPID american laws, costing my looks.

American laws suck

The funny thing is, I've noticed that dirty people who don't take showers don't even break the hell out!!! What is this ****, should I go dirty and start smelling like garbage just to clear my skin up? It doesn't make any damn sense.

It changes me too, I know if I was beautiful and clear of it all that my personality towards the people I care most about would be alot better. Actually, than people would probably like me instead of hating me.

I guess its because of the possible side effects of the drug?

And if u want it, then why don't u go to your doctor to see if he will prescribe it? I mean, if your acne is really bad; then i wouldn't see why he would not give it to u - unless u have a health condition that means the drug is unsuitable for you?

how old are you - acne in teenagers is common, and if you are stil in your teens the chances are when u get older, the acne will clear up of its own accord.

But, by all means, see your GP and ask him what he thinks about it - perhaps he will prescribe u this drug or maybe he will suggest an alternative based on your medical history.

Good luck!

.
Dam right I mean its only associated with liver failure depression and suicide in youths. Should be able to get it at Walmart beside the candy.

OK, this is like your 5th thread about breakouts. We're trying to be patient and help, but I think this is enough already. We gave you advice in the past, so if that doesnt work, talk to your doctor or try these questions at another forum, preferably one more geared towards hygeine or dermatology.

Sorry young man. No one really wants to seem intolerant of what to you is obviously a serious issue. In all honesty it will likely resolve on it's own over time with good clean habits, a good clean diet, plenty of water, and time to finish growing up. As discussed before, it's probably simply because of your age and hormone levels you have right now. This will likely correct given enough time. No, it doesn't make it more pleasant to live with but live with it most of us did. Guess what? We got past it and survived.

Hell, I had to go through it again a couple of months ago thanks to my TRT. I was having times when my body was producing none, then it would produce too much, then none again. All the hormones were screwed up because of this. Test would go too high, this would cause me to make estrogen. Test would go too low, then I'd have estrogen effects like a juicer on a bad cycle. Even acted like a bitchy old woman half the time. In fact, I think a few of my posts reflected this.

Doc hit me hard with enough test to totally supress my natural production and replace it with what she was giving me in the injection. For over a month I still had the swings of my own up and down. This gave me acne, moodiness like a teen, actually caught myself going out one night to pick a fight - then maturity caught up with me when thank God I couldn't find the guy I was looking for after he ran away. Then there was new hair growth where I didn't want it, loss of hair where I kind of wanted to keep it. Then, over time it settled down and I got back to my old self, feel good again, and things are as they should be. I took advantage of the big upswings and 2nd bout with puberty to put on 30lbs in a short time. Why don't you do the same?

Yeah, growing up sucks sometimes. So does getting old. Just hang in there and you'll get through it. Besides, there is really no alternative that's any better.

About the accutaine, I occasionally teach pharmacology to some of our future health care providers and even though my knowledge of medications will never be anywhere close to that of Maxgain's I can tell you that accutaine is harsher on your liver than using injectable steroids. Now, is that really a risk you want to take?

Sure, sometimes it's a bumpy ride, just hang on and see where it takes you though...it's worth it in the end.

I've been in your boat. It was a gradual process but I'm virtually clear now. I had moderate acne and my older brother had severe acne. The only real thing he did differently to me besides putting ketchup on everything was to use Clearasil religiously. Acne has nothing to do with hygiene. In fact, I never wash my face - the water from the shower is enough to keep it clean. I also eat plenty of sunflower seeds. The vitamin E helps against dry skin. And for the love of God, don't take accutane. If it's severe, see your doctor and you might be given a course of antibiotics. I did and this helped me for a bit. Just stay away from the topicals.
