i was doing cable chest flys yesterday and this morning my bicepts are sore. am i doing it wrong or is it a natural thing due to the positioning of the arms when doing it?

The biceps brachii are a primary stabilizer in this motion.

You really shouldn't be using your biceps a lot. You can obviously put a ton more weight on there if you keep your hands close to you (ergo using your biceps). With straight arms, not using your biceps, you are putting a lot more stress on your pecs.

Lower the weight and keep your arms straighter.

If you ever do a chest / bi day -- now you know what exercise to add.
