Chest Exercises

Hi to everyone out there. I was wondering about the best exercises for my chest. Some people have told me that I should focus on my upper chest more than my lower chest. At the moment my workout starts with Incline Bench Flys(60 to 70 degerees), Incline Dumbell Presses(same incline), Incline Barbell Presses(same incline) followed by Flat Bench Flys, Flat Bench Presses.

Do you think that this is a decent chest workout or should I change some of the exercises? What other exercises could I do for my chest?

My main problem is that I feel I have a flat spot right in the middle of my chest between upper and lower. Is this normal or am I missing something out?

I like to mix up the exercises a bit during my routine, just to make sure that I hit my chest from all angles. Flat presses or flyes, declines, inclines and dips, so your workout seems ok.

The flat spot could be from your muscle structure and not something you are missing during your workout. However, you might want to try lowering the incline to somewhere between 30 to 45 degrees. This will hit the middle chest a bit better than the steep incline.

I think dropping down to the lower angle for awhile should be enough work. It might be best to change the angle every few months, just to keep things fresh.

I would do the barbell excercises before the dumbells.

The barbells are more power oriented, by doing the dumbells first you may be fatiging the muscles prematurely and won't be able to get the most out of the barbells.
