Getting back from a break

Hi all!

I've been away for a few weeks recently...I think it's about 5 weeks since I've posted here so hello again It's also about 3 weeks since I had a decent workout session.

First of the three weeks was my break week after finishing my bulking cycle. Unfortunately due to work I've been in the Northumberland countryside on business lately (very green, lots of sheep and old people...no gyms) so I've not been able to do my regular workouts.

That counts for the second and final week. I'm back home now though, and I just can't seem to muster the energy to workout! Not to say that I haven't done any workouts though - I just haven't been pushing myself like I did before.

So anyway - just wondering how you guys get going again after a break or when you feel down with it all and don't want to go. I know some people on here just go workout all the time and never get tired of it - I envy you and this post isn't really aimed at such people

Cheers,
Rich

Well I'm one of them where lifting is just carved in stone in my heart so I just do it, but I sometimes have trouble getting back after breaks (rare, which is probably why I have troube ) I make a new music cd, and watch ronnie or a lifting movie and then just browse pictures of guys that are just incredible, I mean thats enough for me just the dedication it took to get bigger than anyone in the world, must be insane to be that big. Takes me a good week to get back to full enthusiam in workouts though, so time is a factor too...just gotta ease back into it, if you jump in with the big weights from the start your gonna want to workout less, well this is the case with me anyway lol I just think to hell with this and take another week off. So gotta come slowly and time will do the rest

Welcome back, RichUK!

My motivation is the mirror that stares back at me when I climb out of th shower. When I find myself sliding a bit back into my old form, that's all the motivation I need to (re)commit myself to a focused program. Now, when did you say you were going to do your next workout?

Teenpumper I think you must be some sort of psychic...

Yes you did interpret my initial post wrong - I simply meant getting back from some time off.

However - no sooner had you posted than than 2 nights ago I was running barefoot through the house to answer the phone and my foot had an accident with a chair leg!! Broken the fourth toe on my right foot!!!

I think someone up there hates me Can't put any real pressure on it, so there goes running/standing leg work for the next few weeks.
