height?

i know this really has nothing to do with bodybuilding but maybe something to do with fitness?

when does the average guy usually stop growing?
im 17 and im about 6ft. my dad is about 6'2 and call me crazy but its always been my goal to at least reach his height.
and im about 17 now and am starting to worry that im gonna stop growing soon and not reach his height. my mom is the same height that his mother was so its not like my mom is short and that would make me not grow as tall as him.

i dunno , what have u guys heard? also to make it fitness related - will you not grow if you dont have high levels of calcium? and are there other nutrients that i can intake to help growth?
and is it true u only grow when u sleep? cuz then maybe i should hit the hay earlier..

It's out of your control, stop worrying about it.

Um, unless you're willing to do something like this:

I've read you can keep growing taller up to age 23. They say Michael Jordan grew 6 inches his sophomore year of highschool and continued growing when he was at UNC.

I'm 5'10, and I wouldn't want to be any taller.

OK - so I'm the totally short one here .

If I stand on my tippy toes I can reach 5'2" . Yea, and I'm pretty sure I'm done growing at age 29 .

Kitara, take comfort in the fact that I'm only 4'11". You're still taller than me.
