Hey I have a couple questions.....NewB

Pretend like I know nothing about working out. All I know is that im 18 and pretty skinny, I mean im fit but I want bigger arms and a bigger chest. Im tired of being this skinny. Pretend like I know nothing and it would be awesome if you could give me some advise on how to change things. Thank you SO much!

If you are concentrating on building up your chest and arms, being skinny will not prevent you from succeeding.
First off, you have to train those muscle FREQUENTLY, and not just once a week, like everyone seems to be suggesting. If you only train the muscle that often, then the muscle has no reason to quickly recuperate, recover, and grow. (Look at sprinters.....they have massive legs. However, they don't sprint just once a week, they sprint several times A DAY, SEVERAL DAYS A WEEK).
Second, you must achieve a tight, stretching, vascular pump everytime you work the muscle.
Third, you must work the muscle at a high muscular capacity.
Fourth, use exercises that best work YOUR PARTICULAR MUSCLES. Some people can grow big chests with the bench press, while others, like prisoners and gymnasts, grow big chests using dips and push-ups!
Hope that helps some.

Huh?? You train a muscle once a week to not overtrain...And thats only 1/3 the battle. If you want bigger arms and chest you need to work your back and legs heavy along with the chest, and freakin eat a crapload in the range of 4k calories.

hey man eating is definatly the key to getting bigger....when i eat alot, and get enough protein i get bigger, and when i slack in the eating i dont..i started out at 5'9" 140 for about a year, in that time i didnt eat right--my workout was great, and i got alot stronger but i didnt get much bigger, after changing my eating habbits i am now up to 170, was at 180ish but i havent ate right in about a month now......eating is the key--eat big all the time...buy yourself some protein powder too and have a few protein shakes a day....dont forget the intense workout too!!!
