Hi all, this board seems awesome..tons of great info.
I have a question, sorry if this sounds stupid..
What, if any is the differenmce on the muscle's you are working when doing cardio exercise..?
I've heard two different sides..1. no difference, more intensity means more calories burned, but the muscle groups don't change/get affected by different types of cardio.. stairmaster, bike, treadmill..all the same thing, just
burning calories..not training muscle groups.
2. that depending on what cardio exercise you do, and with what intensity, it does affect and shape different muscle groups..
I think both sound right..maybe there's truth to both.
I know we need both cardio and weight training to get the best results.. that, doing just one isn't going to be optimal.. but, just wondering if the muscles can recognize/change depending on different types of cardio? OR is it really just all calorie burning, and weight training is
building muscle .
I know it works the other way around, for instance, doing super sets one right after the other does kill 2 birds with 1 stone.. you get a nice burn on the muscle...as well as burn calories from the cardio..but, not sure it works the opposite way?
Does anyone else get what I mean?
thx
