After a good workout I like to have a really hot shower lasting about 20 mins. When I get out of the shower I'm red and look like a lobster, but is this good for the muscles?
What would be best for my muscles after a workout, a hot shower, cold shower, hot bath or cold bath?

I think a warm shower - not hot. And don't make it too long. I have no theory to back this up, it just feels like the right thing to do. Of course I could be way off but I imagine it's best not to do extremes - ie really hot or really cold.
My friend commented to me that after working out for a month or so he really needed to have much hotter showers. Hadn't thought about it at the time, but I'd have to concur. An interesting observation at least.
