How do you you 'feel' during & post workout?

I am wondering how your body is supposed to feel during a workout and post workout?

During my workouts, I frequently don't feel the greatest. Meaning sometimes a little nascious I guess you could say. Then after for about an hour or so, I feel don't too good. Like I'm spent and pretty nascious.

Is that normal when your busting your ass in the gym?

I feel pretty springy after a workout. I am mentally fatigued though, that lasts for a few hours, but my legs and stuff usually feel good. I do olympic lifting though, pretty different from bodybuildiing in that there is not a lot of eccentrics to waht I do. I usually lift 4 times a week. So all in all I feel good after a workout. During the workout it varies by whether I'm having a good day or a bad day, of course.

Well I start off with a 30 minute interval run, about 20 mins into that, i start sweating loads, and wonder how i'm going to survive the last 10 minutes! Then I start on the weights (for about 1hr) during that time I generally feel OK, although I do sometimes get bad cramp in my calves, then i finish off with 30 minutes steady pace on the bike, again I sweat a bit more, but dont really feel overly tired (although the cramp can sometimes rear its head in the last 5 mins).

The only thing that my body can't seem to handle, is the damned rowing machine... even 5 minutes steady pace makes me feel REALLY light headed, to the point where i almost pass out, and feel very ill

After my workouts I usually have to go straight to work, and surprisinlg I don't actually feel that tired, until I get home and sit at my computer

During my workout I feel fine. I'm usually sweating, red in the face, but I don't necessarily feel fatigued or totally spent. Immediately after a particularly difficult set I feel kind of a 'high', I don't know if maybe it's an adrenalin rush or if it's all mental. Could be a bit of both.

After my workouts I feel spent, but not in a totally drained way. It's more of a satisfied feeling. Oh yeah, and I'm always hungry. GIMME PROTEIN, BABY!!

For those who are feeling nauseated during/post workout, I don't think that it's uncommon if you're fairly new to lifting/a particular lift (I remember the first time I tried squats I felt as though I were going to hurl right afterwards). As your body adjusts to the demands it should eventually pass.

*But*, if you're constantly experiencing this I would definitely consider toning down the intensity of your workouts.
