How does this sound so far?

I just started week 3 of BFL. This is the only program I'm able to follow because I'm not starving on it. I've been fairly strict with it, only eating junk on cheat day. I've been working out hard six days per week. It feels like I'm in boot camp. I usually spend an hour doing weights 3 days per week and instead of only doing cardio 3x per week I've been adding it in on weight days. My cardio has been 20min treadmill, 20 min bike and 5 laps in the pool, sometimes I'll just do aerobics.

So, after two weeks I've lost 5 lbs and about 2 inches. Is this good? I feel like I should have lost 10 lbs just because of the shock I've put my body in. I've never worked out this hard in my life. I've got a good 20-30 pounds to lose and I know that the less weight you have to lose the harder it is to get it off.

That is awesome results. Are you taking one day off of the workouts? Just don't burn out. Remember BFL is a 12 week program. See how far you can progress in the weights in that time frame.

I agree with LC, great results!

As long as the scale is going in the right direction and you are not zapped of all energy by the workouts, then you are doing fine.

Some people lose weight at a steady even pace and others do it by means of lost lbs then plateaus. One is not better than another. It's just the way it is. Your body is just doing what it does.

Generally 2lbs/week is a healthy amount of weight to lose, and your results show that your training has been successful and seemingly healthy so far. If you're looking to lose 20-30 lbs in 12 weeks, you're right on track.

Well done.

Well...I figured I was on track - I'll be 30 next year and it just seems like a daily battle to get the weight off. I have to be near perfect with my diet or I'll gain weight. 2 days or more of not eating clean and it will set me back. I just wonder if it's me or if anyone else is like this.

Join the crowd. Although, some struggle more than others.

It's possible, too, that you gained some muscle and lost some fat, thus becoming smaller overall.
