How long does it take to recover?

Hey, I want to know if there is anything wrong with working your chest out every other day. When I first started working out it took the 48hrs for the soreness to leave, but now the soreness is gone by the second day. Does anyone know if there would be a problem if I worked my chest every other day or should I still wait 48hrs?

Bottom line is that you really can't isolate one particular body part. When you lift, your whole body gets stressed and needs to recover, regardless of how many or which "body parts" were worked. So if you are making gains then by all means workout every other day.

But if you haven't upped the weights, reps, or sets, then it is past time to increase your work load. And the easiest way to do that is to increase the weight lifted.
