How long should I take off after being sick?

Hey, yall, I just got over the flu and today I am feeling good. Not 100% but much better. Tomorrow I will probably feel much better. I have heard that you shouldn't start doing physical activity for a while to prevent a relaps. How long shoudl I wait before I start lifting and running again?

Also. I am very physicaly active. Does this help prevent getting sick? It seems as if I get sick once, maybe twice every three years. Does activity help your immune system?

Thanks for the help.

Don't go back until you're 100% better. You'll just get a relapse and miss out more gym time. If you have the flu, the best thing to do is rest. You know the rest ...

Activity does help your immune system, as long as you apply all the aspects of proper recuperation to support your intense activities.

I would wait until your energy stores start to come back and then just listen to your body, it will tell you when to go and hit the iron again...start back light and gradually work back to your former weights and intensity!

It's best to listen to your body. If you still feel lethargic once you think you are well, it's best to take more rest. Be sure to eat clean and continue taking v/m and glutamine.
