how long would results take for abs, considering i have no fat on my stomach

My stomach is pretty flat, no fat really since im considered underweight, but my weight comes from muscle on other parts of body. not fat. so i look decent... so im starting my ab routine as well...crunches... and leg raises..but they are starting to hurt my back..so i was wondering 2 things..any other home exercises for lower abs? and how long would the results take to show? my upper abs have already been developed wlel somehow..it just needs toning to show the 'cuts' so it looks like a 2 bulge pack right now with a flat stomach haha kinda like a hot girls stomach lol ok ya well thats about it. thanks!

buddy, "toning" ain't gonna do it.(besides, do you think that your "upper rectus abdominus is "ripped" and the lower portion is flabby? it doesn't work that way).
although YOU don't see it, you have FAT on the surface of your lower abdomen. the abs are already there and just waiting to be seen, but there is a deposit of adipose tissue that it masking it from being seen. you are going to have to either burn that fat (cardio) or/and change your diet. both would probably be best.
good luck.

Yeah and remember that your abs are a seperate muscle group just like any other and if you want them to grow, you only need to work them twice a week, they need to rest to grow, remember that. Working them everyday won't result in growth.
