How many time do you train a muscle per week?

Hi, I'm confused and I need to know how much time a week muscles are trained for most people. I train them twice right now and pretty hard too and didn't see a big difference in my body, but I told myself that it takes time..so I'd just want to hear from everybody, how often is 1 muscle group trained per week. I started training october 1st.

thanks

These days I aim at twice a week. I tried once a week but that did very little for me. I've tried 3-times-a-week whole body training and that worked pretty well. I've also tried going to 4 days a week which was hard but actually yielded some positive results. Bottom line: bodypart frequency is a training variable just like any other. Experiment with it and don't trust anyone who says you have to train a certain number of days per week.

You should also remember that the week isn't any more natural a unit than the month; if your body requires a 10-day cycle, use it.

I'm doing once a week at the moment.
I like 9 days.
I'll probably try 12 days next.

Everyone is different, and you must find YOUR threshhold depending on how well your body recuperates naturally, how clean your diet is, how much rest you get and your timing of supplements...this will all determine the rate at which your body is able to recuperate from workout to workout, and thus, how often to work your various muscle groups.

I personally work every muscle group directly every 5 days.
