How much did you lift initially?

I am sure most of you lift heaver weights, cuz you're experienced by now. But in the beginning, like in the first six months, how much did you manage to lift? Can some of you be kind enough to post them, especially for standing BB curls, bench press, shoulder press (or whatever it is called, you lift the barbell above your shoulders), DB curls, close-grip bench press and such. It might help me understand better.

This is kind of a silly question as every person is different. Also I am 35 years old and lift tons as a power lifter. the first time I lifted a weight I was a teenager. So for me it would look like this Bench press 150Lbs start 512Lbs today. I am sure that this is of no help to you in any way.

start: 95 pounds at 12 years old for max
latest: 180 pounds at 15 years old for max

beginning body-weight: 85
current body weight: 120

as jaster said, its a bit of a silly question. for example, i started benching when i was 12. most people don't start till they are adults or teenagers. also, i am a small guy, so of course i won't be benchnig as much as your bigger guys. also, people start at different levels. you're not really going to find any info that is going to help you determine where you should be.

HitManSE- MAURER said that, I guess you looked over it.

For me:

Deadlift 165-> 315 (repped twice, didn't try for more) no max :

Bench 105-> 265 (about a month ago, currently I'm cutting + off creatine so its roughly 235, but I managed 265 before I went on cutting cycle)

Squat 150-> 225 (rep) dont know the max.. Both weights are in rep

Bodyweight 143-> 174
Time Elapsed: 2 years

LOL. Considering that I'm a tiny female my lifts are generally going to look a lot lighter compared to most of you guys.

Started lifting two years ago, max bench was approx: 70 lbs.
Haven't maxed in a while, but I'm guessing it must be approx 100 lbs.

Have no idea what my max squat is, never tried it. But when I'm doing my last set I'm squatting 110 lbs with 4 reps.

In general, when I started doing bicep curls/shoulder presses/other arm-related lifts I started handling 10-12 lb dumbells, and now I'm using 20-35 lb dumbells for many of my lifts.

Note: my weight has gone from approx. 120 lbs to 110 lbs since I've started lifting.

When I first started doing the full olympic lifts, I could only snatch 95 lbs, and clean and jerk 185. That was about one year ago. Had to take a break (baseball season), now my full lifts are up to 160/225.

When I first maxed in bench between 7th and 8th grades I did 135, I was really excited because that was two of hte "big" plates, and I had the really beastly senior middle linebacker spotting me, he made me feel really important and pumped me up.

160 was my very first max, but that was after 4 months of lifting.

On nah man, I wasnt trying to insult the guy for his lift or anything like that. I just didnt understand exactly what the 1st post was asking. Then again I have a habit of just skimming over posts

So you wanted the starting #'s huh, alright...

Bench: 195 > 360
Squat: 215 > 455
Deads: 265 > 475

Thats in about a 6yr period. Right now however, Im trying not to push anything more then 300lbs in any lift so you can say im at 300 for each right this moment. Lower back injury & left knee injury are whats holding me back for now. At one point I even had to take a year off. Lets just say ive learned from my mistakes. If it wasnt for injuries I would have well surpassed those #'s rather the letting them fall again.

Its cool though, muscle memory is always there :
As for body weight. Im 6'2" when I 1st started I was around 215lbs. The heaviest ive ever been was 255lbs, but my BF% was lower then at 215

edit: Currently im at 248lbs...yes I need to lose weight, I know LOL. Sooner or later Ill get off my ass and drop down to about 210. I should be around the 10% BF area at that weight. Ok ill stop now

I wasn't trying to say you were insulting him, I just thought you were asking him what weight he was doing now, and he had posted it.. Misunderstanding. No worries. :
