How often do you guys miss a workout?

I'm wondering how often you dedicated lifters miss a workout? Patheticly I'll cop out on a workout every now and then. How about you guys, do you ever miss workouts?

I usally don't miss a workout unless there's no way around it like today. I missed because of school. So I miss a workout every couple of months.

I miss it whenever i dont get enough sleep, which really pisses me off. Sometimes i miss it when the gym is close or whenever im still sore from my last workout.

I'm always changing things from week to week due to my work schedule so I just make due.

On average, I may miss 1-3 workouts a month on a 3 day a week schedule. I'm wondering how much that is holding back my gains?

Tom, I'm an old lifter and I could remember a time when I wouldn't dream of missing even 1 session a month! But life moves on and other things seen to get priority. Sometimes it's useful to miss a session to allow your body to recover, sometimes your sick and sometimes life gets in the way. Don't fight it, just go with the flow.
But I must admit I've never not gone to the gym because I couldn't be bothered. If you feel down or lethargic know that when you get there and start working you'll soon feel great. Of course your gains would be better if you made a committment to your prog. Keep at it mate.

I don't tend to miss a workout intentionally, but if I have to miss one due to some other commitments then I'll try and reschedule. This week being a perfect example, I've been on the road a lot with work and unable to hit the gym so I'm having to cram 4 days into 2 over the weekend

Since I got serious, I try to never miss a workout, but I had another MS attack and had to use light weight. I had to drop my squats and deadlifts from 200 pounds (I know that's weak to start with) to 100 pounds four days ago. I guess with the lighter weight, I wasn't as careful with the deadlifts as I should be and had a muscle spasm in my back for 4 days. So I have missed 2 workouts. The spasm has released a little now so I guess the sorry, lazy days are over. Back to it tomorrow morning. If you have to miss, It happens, Just get busy again as soon as possible. By the way I only missed the heavy (for me) squats and deads, I still did my Chest, Arms, and tried to do pullups They were pretty sad But they sort of got done. Just three sets of five though.

Since track started I've had to bring my weightlifting days down from 3 a week to 2. I threw out my leg day because they were getting totally pounded in track and I didn't want to risk overtraining them. Once track is over I'll go back to my routine.

So technically I haven't missed a day this year since I get a good leg workout with track practice.
