How will leg work help my chest?

If someone has naturally large legs or are content with them as they are, and are mainly concerned with their upper body, is it necessary to still work them?

If yes, How will lower body work improve the upper appearence?

legs a Yes

The legs are the biggest muscles in your body...they hold Natural Human Growth Hormone and when exercised this hormone is release into your body helping ALL your muscles grow faster and bigger... along with that, the more muscle you have on your body the faster you will be able to burn fat which will help let those pecs been seen the way they are supposed to...and since the legs have the biggest mucsles in your body...making them big will just boost your matabolism huge

I used to not really work legs... I quickly learned to work them...

trust me...work them..

yes- gh is stored in legs. u train legs(e..g, squatting), you release GH and get bigger and stronger. u can still get strong and big by doing no leg work(deadlift, sl-dl, squatting), but not as big and strong as if you had done them.

My coaches say to squat and bench on the same day in order to get the most out of this, however, most people here tend to disagree and so do I simply b/c that would be to much work in one day.

Yea, that would be pretty damn hard to do legs and chest on the same day. However, squatting+deadlifting on the same day(since the both hit legs) owns

Uhhhh, GH is made by the hypothalamus in the brain. It's certainly not stored anywhere.

High intensity exercise (> 85% heart rate), and lactic acid stumulate it's release. Exactly like doing squats/legpress would do.

Squats are awesome but deadlifts rock!

No-one else in my gym does any leg work & they all stare at me when I do my deadlifts, the veins in my head nearly pop out!

All the mass monsters in my gym never wear shorts because they're ashamed of their legs.

Working your legs regulary is a real test of your commitment, some days you really don't feel like doing it, but you feel a massive pump after a good leg workout.

All you guys and gals doing squats and deadlifts.... brings tears to my eyes. I'm so proud!

I do squats on leg day, and deadlifts on back day. Otherwise my legs don't progress. Seems goofy to me, but whatever works.
