Hydroxycut Hardcore

I was wondering if anyone has ever used harcore before? I've been on it for 2 weeks and a day and in the first week I lost 4lbs and lost 1lb last week.

Before I started I only did about 20 min of cardio twice a week. Now since Ive been on it Ive been motivated to run 1.5-2.5 miles a day and bike 8 miles and 30 minutes of weight training at least 5 times a week. I'd like to lose more fat around my chest, so far i can notice the results as my abs are starting to creep through but i dont seem to be losing anymore weight. I make sure that I drink enough water a day, somethin like 80-100 oz. I wanna lose fat so I watch what I eat and usually only consume less than 1500 calories a day. I'm 6'0" and started at 177 and now im 172.4 Could it be that I'm not losing weight because im gaining muscle? I'm confused. Thx to anyone who can help

If you're only consuming 1500 calories a day, I doubt you're gaining muscle; in fact, I would encourage you to eat more! I'm at 130 lbs, 5'4" male and aim for 1500 calories/day with fat loss as a goal. 1 lb/week is pretty good, though, if you're at the 170's and 6' tall. If you stay active and fuel your workouts (eat before/after you excercise), then you'll avoid muscle loss and promote fat loss.

the only reason I dont eat a lot of calories is because im focused on losing this excess weight first. I understand that I dont have to worry about losing muscle if theres fat still to be burned. Once the fat is gone then ill return to eating regurarly and upping my workouts

Better listen to tim on this one. You can end up losing 50% muscle and 50% fat if you don't have your diet perfect while cutting.

In one study:

Mathematical model shows when cutting 500 calories from daily nutrient consumption, weight loss of 620 grams (1.37 pounds) of protein tissue and water can occur, and only 62 grams of body fat lost.

I had very similar weight loss eating 1500 - 1700 calories and doing 30 - 45 minutes of cardio per day. I would have a cheat meal about once per week. I went from 195 lbs to 165 in a couple of short months. I didn't use any kind of drug or supplement.

You have got to keep your protein intake high and eat plenty of complex carbs, especially during the morning hours of each day. Right now your body has gone into a significant catabolic state and your going to lose muscle as fast as you will bodyfat. Very poor diet routine if you ask me.

Well, yes and no...

After maintaining my weight for a few months, I was able to get down to 148 lbs and about 11% body fat. Then I began lifting weights and eating extra calories in order to build muscle. Right now, I'm at 151 or 152, and I'm still trying to gain.

The best thing I can say about keeping weight off (or keeping fat off) is to alternate between lifting weights and aerobic exercise every other day.
