I feel like I messed up!!!

Hello everyone -

I started working out on April 5, 2005 walking/joggin on my treadmill for 30 minutes a day 4 times a week and I have kept this routine until May 12 - ... My workout was interuppted due to a vacation for 5 days, but we did alot of walking and I watched my diet...(disneyland walking to and from hotel about 15 min)... and when I returned on May 17 I started but then I became sick on the 18-23....

Anyway, I have only been able to get in a workout 3 times a week and I feel like all my effort has been wasted because I did not keep to a schedule.... I feel like I have to start over and stick to this 4 days 30 min/.

So is it me or have I ruined my workout

of course you haven't ruined anything - just pick it back up, is all. the only time it's "ruined" is when you just up and quit.

Yea I know what you mean I just decided to do some boxing the other day and I got hit in the temple.. i was dizzy for that day. and then I got the worst headache and I just feel exhausted. And then today as I was running to school (typical of me to be late) I pulled a muscle in my back.. so now I can't work out its.. been since last Thursday almost a week since I haven't touched weights. I feel like a failure.

Nothing wrong with time off...as long as you workout more often than take that time off lol.

Hey....life happens!!

What is important is that you get back on the path. Personal Fitness is alot about 2 steps forward and 1 step back (things happen...holidays, vacations, child birth, career changes, medical issues etc......), just try to stay a step ahead of the game and you should be fine!!

Yes but does anyone know abou thow long it takes to actually lose muscle mass? from missing to many workouts?
Or is that determined by your genetical makeup?

It would take at least 2-3 weeks before you lost any real gains.
