I Love Triceps Day!

Just finished my back and triceps workout, and thought I would post a note to say that I really enjoy the triceps workout. I simply do 4 sets of skullcrushers and 4 sets of triceps extensions (plus warmups of course). I go very heavy, and use strict form for both exercises.

The best part... two and three days later my triceps are still sore!! But, it is a good sore, if you know what I mean!

Anyone else have a favorite exercise?

This is going to sound totally masochistic but, the deadlift. It's brutal and I can barely pick myself off the floor after a good single but I love it. I love it so much I have to force myself to rotate it out of my program now and then (or just use an alternative like snatch grip deadlifts which is an entirely different exercise really). I am one sick puppy...

I have to agree with TallShadow — triceps exercises are powerful (particularly the two that he mentioned). The extensions require independent power, while the scullcrushers are a powerful dual-armed/team effort.

Deadlifts. I don't know why, it's fun picking 400 lbs off the floor. I think I'm the only one in the gym that does them.

Hopefully I can do a few today.

I'd have to say deadlifts (RDLs) are my favorite since I get sort of the same natural high I get from running after I'm done. I just got through with my back workout and my whole body is shaking a little bit.

I have the same problem....everytime I enter the gym, I want to deadlift. Got to love that.

Also like hammercurls followed by reverse grip curls.

Hey Steve, what's your height, weight, and deadlift? I've got zero physical picture of what you might look like, after 1500 posts.

Thanks Fudo

weight.....haven't weighed myself for a while....I think I lost about 10lbs these last 4-5 weeks. Overdone it on the spinning bike on a hot day and dehydrated....got sick like a dog and after that got the flu.....I started working out two weeks ago again.

My deadlift isn't up to par at the moment, but it was 300 for reps.

I'm mostly taking it easy in the gym.......working up, though.

Steve

P.S. Had to cancel my moment of glory

Could you be a little more specific what exactly did you do to hurt yourself? Also I wouldn't call to many of the people on this page "wussies" if I were you....

the term 'wussies' was a joke, notice the 'lol lol'

just doing that- reverse curls. I fugged up my forearm, pretty bad pain(this was a year or two ago). When I was at the sport doctor he asked if i did reverse curls, i said yea and he said he's seen this type of injury a lot amoung bodybuilders, caused primarily by reverse bb curls- i think he said they put your forearms in an unnatural, weak and dangerous position
