I need to get in shape, I need a plan/routine/tips!

Hi, I am 20 years old, 6'1, 170 lbs, and I want to get in shape, tone my body and eat properly.

My situation right now is that, the way im built is that my arms are sorta skinny...whenever I eat fatty foods and whatever, all the fat goes to my stomach? My arms never get any flab or nothing... I just see my stomach getting bigger and bigger.

What I want is:
1. A nice flat stomach
2. Make my arms bigger
3. I need to know what to eat and what to stay away from
4. I need to know what daily exercise I should do, such as running a mile or 2 and then do some crunches......That sort of stuff but I need a set plan/routine.
5. I need to know what type of weight lifting I should get into, as I am totally new.
6. If possible to know, how long does it take to develop a flat stomach?

If anyone can help me develop a plan, that would be great! Thanks!

1. hey me too, just gotta eat right and excersise.
2. see above answer.
3. Basically eat fresh. No processed stuff. no more fast food, no more cola, no pop tarts, instead eat things like oatmeal, cottyage cheese, lean meat, fresh fruits and vegtables.
4. This is dependant on your goals. to get a flat 6-pack or whatever stomach wise your aiming for you will need a low body fat %. This comes mainly through diet, but you will need excersise also.
5. There are links around with excersises. Take a look at some different people's journals, and see what they have been doing.
6. As long as it takes your body to get there and the amount of dedication you have. It would take me a lot longer then you with the same dedication b/c I am having to lose more. I wouldn't worry about 'just getting a flat stomach", as much as i would think about just getting healthy.

I'm sure some more people will chime in with more detailed info, I'm pretty new here, but thought I toss soem quick advice. Good luck.
