Instead of gawking at that guy with eighteen-inch arms or the girl with a tight, toned butt...start tapping it.
I guess I'm just a sick person. This is the part that came straight to my eyes before I read the whole article.

It specifically says it's not an article about picking up members of the opposite sex at the gym Have I been around here long enough to start teasing your guys yet?
I never talk when I'm doing cardio. I'm a big nerd; I listen to audiobooks. And I do where headphones when I'm lifting but only because I hate the music they play at the gym and it's harder to work out with music you hate. I don't mind talking to people, even though I'm wearing headphones.

Generally speaking, I don't really like people. I'm not at the gym to make friends, I'm there to work. I'm very antisocial while lifting.

heh - not me. thing is, even on the days i'm feeling grumpy and crabby and out of sorts, ppl talk to me. i'm not one to go around gratuitously busting bubbles, so i'll be polite and before long, i'm in a good mood again.

I'm getting really weird looks at the gym when we start doing board presses people just look and wonder. It's pretty funny, the gym I go to is quite small it's the only one in town and I've only seen one other person besides myself and my training partner do deadlifts.

Sure you have.
That statement still just popped right into my eyes. When I went to a gym, I didn't go for the pick up scene. But I certainly did enjoy the scenery from time to time.
There is one thing that I've started doing that makes it a good thing that I don't go to a public gym. I've started noticing and admiring people's hard work. Things like tricep definition, the deliniation between ham/quad, the glute/ham tie in (my worst part).
It can cause problems if one looks and simply admiring hard work comments, "nice butt", or "great legs". If it happens to be another dude, gotta be really careful about how it is said. If it happens to be a gal, gotta be careful that the wife doesn't overhear - or that they don't take it as a come-on.

Away from the gym, I love talking with people. When I'm, at the gym, I want to focus on what I'm doing. Too many of those talkers will suck the life right out of your workout. This is me normally -> This is me at the gym ->

LOL!
andy, i dunno - nobody i've ever complimented has had a problem, male or female. the trick is to do it in a way that leaves no doubt whatsoever that it is a straightforward compliment and nothing more.
