I think you are kinda pushing the whole " adding mass to biceps" from just supporting the bar across your shoulder blades. I'm sure it probably literally adds mass but probably so little that it doesn't mean much

Although this isn't my biggest area of knowledge, it is my understanding that including excercises like squats contributes to the growth of the entire body by increasing stress on the CNS, therefore increasing the body's response, resulting in bigger gains everywhere.

Then you are doing them wrong. Squats done properly do not hurt. [well maybe the day after ]

ding ding ding.........we have a winner. Also, there is the overall hormonal (testosterone) increase associated with doing heavy compound movements which will also contribute to growth.
I was not implying that there was direct bicep stimulation associated with squats.
hater,
I would hazard that you could probably do high box squats, which are better than nothing. Proper warmup and supplemenetation for joints is also important.

Why don't you just pick a routine and do it? You're obviously very new to the fitness scene. Why would you think that you would make a better program than someone who has been proven over years? I'm sure you THINK that you are better suited to make a program for yourself, but you aren't. I'm all about personalizing your routine, but when you are a complete rookie, sometimes you need to just STFU and do what you're told. Find a program that knowledgable people swear by (like the one you butchered) and just do it!
Man, I'm in a rare mood today. You'd figure I'd be happier since the Steelers won.

Nevertheless, is there a video file for that ex., so I can learn proper form?

Lady C,
I think he was referring to these:
http://exrx.net/WeightExercises/Lati...andChinup.html
but both will work the biceps. They can be done with or without assistance
