Exclamation

In search of a work out routine...

I need to get into shape, and I would also like to bulk up a little bit (Im 6' and weigh 135-140lbs). The problem is that I have an extreme case of scoliosis. I had surgery a few years ago for it. My spine is still shaped like an 'S' but atleast now it has two metal rods on either side to keep it from curving anymore.

Another problem that I have is that my back is very painful. Its very stiff most of the time, and when Im involved in activities that require more than just walking or sitting on the couch, there is a strong possibility that I will strain something.....in short it just hurts all the time.

I would like to know if there are any excersises that may strengthen my back muscles and allow me to be more involved in physical activities without the accompaning back pain, or atleast more durability before I go into shock

Anyway your advise is apreciated.

We have similar body types. You are a bit taller than me (i'm 5'7) but weight-wise are my equivalent of before I started working out.

Is my plan. Max-OT (i recommend you do a search here for the full guide). I'm not sure if scoliosis limits the types of exercises you do so modify as you see fit.
