increasing vertical

ok as you may have come across a few times i've mentioned i'm interested in "street acrobatics" which is basically tumbling but with more than a floor to use, but fair enough i can do hand stands for long periods and i have developed a good sense of spacial awareness, i also know thatgymnastics doesn't rely on vertical, but technique and blocking but i still have a really really ****E vertical :|... anyone know how i can improve my vertical jump?

Plyometrics is a good place to start.

Olympic lifters - surprisingly even the heavy weights - have excellent vertical jumps. It comes from the fact that the technique they use requires fast, explosive movements.

i used to be a gymnast, and have seen what some of those "street guys" can do..and alot of it is pretty amazing! lol. Plyometrics is a good place to start, try that out and see where it takes you.

Speaking of, can you do all the tumbling tricks like a back tuck (back flip) and all that jazz?

i can backflip... but currently i'm working on a running raiz, and a 540 kick, my vertical sucks though as i've stated as i seem to be close to near death everytime i land a back flip thanks andrewH and iron man! P.s. here's some kids doing similar things to what me n my mate do although they're added in some wushu as "martial arts" well martial dance
