I have a weak left rotator cuff, so I feel your pain.

Shortly after I started lifting I injured mine and it healed pretty quickly because I iced it as soon as I felt any pain. Ice is your best friend right now. If it's a recent injury ice it 2-3 times a day, working down to about 1-2 times.

I also took glucosomine which I found very effective. Also just rest the area but don't limit movement. Some people strap their arm up but I don't think this is beneficial at all as you want to keep the joint supple and therefore flexible.

Good luck, and I hope you heal quickly.

EDIT; I nearly forgot; learn to worship at the alter of form so further injuries can be avoided.
