Leg workout v Cardio

Is it ok to do a leg workout one day and do like a 4 mile run the following day for cardio or should I be resting my legs from cardio.
Help much appreciated

Depends on your goals. I wouldn't do it if I was purely doing a bodybuilding-esque bulk period, but other than that, I'd say its ok. Be aware of how your body is recovering and track your strength for the next few sessions. If you are getting stronger and not feeling overly fatigued, then stick with it. Otherwise, you may need to re-evaluate.

Good advice, Maverick. Also, you will need proper supplementation to ensure you arent wasting muscle.

I managed to pack on the most muscle mass ever several years ago when I was riding my bicycle 7 miles each way to work every day and lifting weights during lunch. I don't think a four mile run the day after legs would make a big difference. Just make sure you're eating enough and getting enough sleep.

If you were training for sprinting events, the answer would be different. In fact, if you get bored and want to mix up your running and leg workout, I'd recommend running sprints once in a while.

i don't think running 4 miles will hurt ya... but just keep an eye on it. If things do start go turn in the gym because of it.. back off until you find a happy medium.

Most top bodybuilder now run or cycle for cardio and they still achieve massive legs.
If you put the fuel in your get the results no matter what
