Hi Dan, yes he still does train. Here is a post about him that I did a couple of weeks ago:

Proving that you are never too old to make an occasional mistake in using good judgement, he is currently sporting some sore shoulders after attempting an 80 lb. squat snatch last Monday.

He is definitely from the old school and had some great training partners when Tommy Kono and Bill Pearl both lived in Sacramento. It's fun to listen to those old stories.

back issue of MILO magizine, volume 1.1 , Henry milo Steinborn, squatted heavy at 70, he pretty much put squatting on the map, and he did them with no rack...............his opinion on the the deadlift was just that DEAD, but I guess just squatting worked for him,(to each there own way) as he didn't care at all about looking like a comic book, all he cared about was what the body could do.

P, L, D, me...

I think this statement sums it all up. There is much to be learned from them, and relearned from them.

I do think that it's overlooked because it's hard, not because it's simple.

Kind of like MostMuscle's OLAD program I tried. Very simple, very basic, very hard. Just because something is simple doesn't mean it's not tough. Perhaps in some cases - a bit too tough.
