Ripped, You can do abs and
cardio everyday if you want. No limit to it. In fact I would at least do it every other day. Run until you feel a good burn and stop, get used to it. It will take a while but your body will adjust. Trust me I used to be 5-10, 265 of mostly fat. Find a happy medium, then gradually increase the resistance or time. Res=strength time=endurance and so fourth.
I will strongly say that doing ab crunches with resistance is the way to get the abs you want. Non resistance ab crunches will not get them fast. I have no exp on Bow Flex. I do my abs with a 25 or 35 lb barbell type weight. To mix things up I'll do them on a
decline bench. Also you can work your bleeks this way too.
Every other day is ok, better than none. However, you are not limited to the amount of training your abs or your ticker recieve. Based on you're a healthy individual.
