need serious advice, for a serious worker, from serious people, please seriously help

Starting Off, I am 6'1 and underweight: 133 pounds.

All I need from you is to listen to what My goal is, and help me answer my questions.

My goals:

Gain defined ABS
A little bigger arms and chest, but id rather sculpt them to make them more visible at the same time.

Please read bottom for my questions.

it's been one month or so into my routine and Ever since I started, I saw that My stomach has been flat . i was about 130 but focused more on reducing fat off my stomach before anything else. I did not have much at all but I saw an extremly thin layer. And I read that to show you abs, you must get the fat off, so I did, but the layer stayed.. so I did my AB workouts, my abs have been hardened because I worked out before. Now at this point. They are pretty hard, even though not defined properly yet, WIll that thin thin layer of fat ever go away? Is it just genetics? Or am i over reacting and get bigger abs so it bulges out? maybe my abs are too small right now to even see results?

Now, my upper chest and arms are alright, I can lift more weights with time and I am increasing arm size, I do not have a problem with this, in fact thats the best part...im just more concerned about my abs

Overal questions from above passages

1.Is the thin layer of fat on my abs just genetics?

2.Are my abs not showing just because I dont have enough definition yet , so should I even worry about it yet since im underweight?

3. Since I want to increase just the muscle mass amount, Do i neccesarily to eat more calories then my body can burn to gain muscle?

4. Can I eat less amount of calories then I need, and still gain some muscle?

5. Lets say, I get my mass done , and my abs are big , yet they still arent showing cause of fat build up due to high calory diet.. Should I eat less calories and keep the exact same workout without adding any more progress to the workout so that the fat will go and muscle will stay?

so overal ..From reading my problems that I have, what do YOU suggest I start focusing on more? And how to go about it?

Right now I am eating alot of whole foods and giving 100% ,100% of the time in workouts. I just want more shape to my body with the definition without the fat content..but since im just 130 I dont know how I could do that without putting fat on?

If anyone could reply to this, I really do need you're help.. otherwise I woulnt by posting here, it means alot to me as a beginner. Just as you guys have gotten on track, please help a bro get on track too =). I jjust dont want to put in so much work , and get back nothing because Im doing something wrong

Oh ya, is cardio also necesary for me at this point since Im 18, burning fast and Since its hard to get to my daily calory goal already? Do I need to do it to burn the EXCESS fat? or will my body do it for me if i dont reach the 3000/day calory intake that I need? Does that mean if i dont reach it, muscle wont be put on either? ..gosh so confusing

1. Like i said earlier, its the fat you have.. not the genetics... You can reach the BF you want, but bad genetics work against you in doing so but its defiantly still possible.

2. YOu probably need more muscle in the abdominal area since your underweight like you said.

3. Yes.

4. If you are really new to weight training or using some sort of chemichaly enhanced supplement then yeh.

5. You should defanitly decrease the calories but always change around your workout after every 2 months or so. And add in cardio when trying to lose fat also.

cardio is always neccasry .

You can do it to burn the excess fat and to keep your heart in good shape.

the amount of calories you eat to gain weight depends on your bodyweight and activity level. Its not always 3000 calories inorder to gain weight. If you do cardio but are still eating more calories then you burn (to mantain), then you will still indeed gain muscle mass and by doign some cardio when trying to gain muscle mass, you will limit some fat you will put on.

Okay, I'm going to try to field these questions the best I can...

1. "Is the thin layer of fat on my abs just genetics?" Both yes and no. It's there because of genetics but it sounds like you think it can't be removed because of genetics. Genetics determines the first place your body stores fat and the last place it will remove it. At 133 pounds it sounds like this thin layer of fat may be the last bit of fat you have on your body. It can be worked off.

2. "Are my abs not showing just because I dont have enough definition yet , so should I even worry about it yet since im underweight?" That's a two part question. The first answer is, well I don't know you so I can't really tell you what your own abs look like but I can tell that you that at your weight I doubt a thin layer of fat would hide a well defined stomach. Chances are you need to add a little mass to it. Doing things like weighted sit-ups and leg raises should help bulk up the stomach area a little bit, giving it that defined 6-pack that is so often sought after. The second part to this question is should I worry about this since I'm underweight, the answer is... YES! If you gain weight it doesn't mean it's going to make your abs look bigger and more defined, chances are you'll just get a gut! Work those abs so that when you start getting the appropriate amount of calories and protein in your diet, your abs can make gains right along with the rest of your body.

3. "Since I want to increase just the muscle mass amount, Do i neccesarily to eat more calories then my body can burn to gain muscle?" The answer to that is yes too. Your body needs calories to gain weight and muscle. If it doesn't have enough calories in it while you're working out, your body will start burning away your muscles which is the exact opposite that someone of your body build would want.

4. "Can I eat less amount of calories then I need, and still gain some muscle?" Hell, anythings possible. It depends on your diet, if you have a lot of protein your body can use that to make muscle. I don't know why you would want to have a low calorie diet in weightlifting b/c the odds are really stacked against you if you want to gain muscle but not eat enough calories.

5. "Lets say, I get my mass done , and my abs are big , yet they still arent showing cause of fat build up due to high calory diet.. Should I eat less calories and keep the exact same workout without adding any more progress to the workout so that the fat will go and muscle will stay?"
I wouldn't change the high calorie diet, as long as it's clean (free of junk food) it should be alright. What I would do would start a cardio routine. Maybe run a few miles a day to work off that fat. The only way to lose fat is through a good diet and cardio, there's no such thing as spot reduction so doing workouts like sit-ups won't make you lose that fat on your stomach, it'll just make those abs stronger.

I'm the same height as you and I weight 165 and I just can't see your arms and chest being all too big b/c I'll be the first to say that my aren't the biggest and I weigh 30 pounds more than you. What I'm trying to get at, is you need to make sure you're not just working one part of your body (abs), you can get those arms bigger, you can make that chest awesome! Don't lose sight of high goals just because you don't weigh a lot right now. Get into a good lifting routine and stick around this forum and you'll have more muscle than the amount of times you said "serious" in your title.
