Need workout plan for midsection

Hey guys, I just need a plan for my abdominals since I don't have any type of ab workout in my plan already. I need to know how many I should do and when I should do them. I come from te gym day in and day our with my body feeling worked out, except for my abs, and when I do crunches, it feels like it's not doing anything.

Add weight to your crunches. Or even better do cable crunches...you'll feel that. <doing my best evil laugh right now>

good ideas welch. You can also try knees to elbows (hang from a bar and curl your body up so your knees touch your elbows) or L pull-ups really get your abs as well.

If you want or need more explanation on these exercises you can go here CrossFit Exercises and scroll down to the approriate video.

What kind of exercises do you do currently?

You can get a good core workout with squats, deadlifts, and some other compound movements.

As for working abs directly, there's weighted cable crunches, weighted leg raises, crunches with weight, etc. You can work your abs just like any other muscle. I like to go heavy as possible for 10-12 reps.

In addition to adding weight to crunches, you can also make them harder by doing them on a decline.
