Power Cleans

Since Power Cleans work so many parts of the body, what day do you guys put it into for your routine?

If this is my back day:

Deadlifts
Lawn Mower Pulls
Lat Pull Downs
Back Rows
Pull-Ups
Seated Low Pulley Rows

What should I drop to add power cleans?

Power cleans could replace deadlifts or you could alternate them each week

I'm pretty fond of both deadlifts and power cleans. I wouldn't want to be doing both if it's going to be overtraining my back but otherwise I would rather dump something that's not as much as of a compound exercise like deadlifts.

You already know what I think of your back workout so I'll stay out of it.

I kinda agree with Symzie on alternating them with DL's, would be perfect.

WTF is a lawnmower pull, anyway...???

BTW- that's a pretty looooonnnnngggggg back attack you got planned. How long does it take you to do it???

Lol, a lawn mower pull is a dumbbell row... I'd think since you're from Illinois you'd recognize my midwest slang, but then again it's probably just an Iowa thing.

Anyways, it takes a good 1.5 hours to complete everything, I have biceps in there too though. Would I be losing anything by not doing deadlifts every week if I were to alternate them with power cleans?

Also, I'm thinkin maybe I have too much on my back workout b/c it is awfully long... my back doesn't feel overtrained but then again I usually don't get a lot of burn from a back workout. What do you guys think?

Sorry to double post... this question is kind of like the one above, if I were to alternate power cleans and deadlifts would it take longer to increase the weight on my deadlifts?

Most of the guys in my gym don't go down like this guy in the 6th picture does for power cleans:

Should I be doing mine like him?

Hes also cleaning.....8-10 plates it looks like. if you were doing that much than yes because you would have to use your legs as much as possible.

Maybe I could clean 8-10 ten pound bumper plates lol... but no I won't be doing quite as much weight as him so I probably won't have to put my legs into it quite as much as he has to.

Thanks for the info... I'm not very familiar with power cleans compared to some of the other lifts so this information really helps me out.
