question about creatine


when you take creatine should you stop evey now and then or just keep taking it forever.

It doesn't really matter. Some say to stop while cutting then re-start while bulking. Others say to stay on all the time. Some say to start and stop every few months.

Creatine is found in meat. It helps move nutrients into and hold water in the cells. When you exercise you use it up. That's why we use creatine replacement postworkout. Personally, I use it after lifting and not on off days or cardio days. Try it a couple of ways and see for yourself how your body responds.

a_welch is right, but from my personal experience I have done better with 10 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Its different for everyone.

persoanlly ive always cycled my creatine intake just to be on the same side. everybody does have creatine in their body naturally, but i think its the worry of taking on board too much for too long a period that gets people worried.

try bracketing your intake, by taking a dose before and after exercising, from which you should see good results. you could do a month on, followed by a month off which should keep your body producing creatine naturally and minimise any effect on your kidneys
