squeeeeze?

does it make a difference if you squeeze your muscles as you lift or no? today, i tried squeezing like hell while doing bicep curls and my arms are more sore than before. also, i wasn't able to lift as many times as before where i just went through the motion. will squeezing work my muscles out more?

Are you guys sure the squeeze doesn't just translate into a better pump? I've never heard of anyone squeezing muscles for compound movements.
