Toning to building?

I have heard that when you start working a new muscle it takes some time before you actually start to build it. First it tones up then starts to build, is there a time frame for this or is this just a myth?

Resistance training makes your muscles bigger, end of story. "Toning" is for infomercials.

As your muscles develop and you reduce your overall bodyfat they will appear more... "toned".

Time frame is based around your genetics and effort you put in. I don't see why you could not see results within 3 months if you give it 100%.

When you work it it breaks down. It is your nutrition and rest that rebuilds it. It depends on the intensity of your workout to the degree of break down that will give you the rebuild while you rest. Train intense and you eat well= more growth and build.

Peace
