Trampolining as cardio?
well this may sound stupid, but yesterday my sister got a trampoline lol, at first i didn't think anythign of it but i saw it and its like 12 x 12 foot
its pretty cool and of course .. i had a go lol, and after about 1/2 minutes on it just jumping around really, i was sweating and my heart was racing etc...
I was thinking would this be a suitable cardio exercise?
If it gets the heart pumping legs working and me sweating / out of breath it cant be all bad right?
Btw i searched this up and found nothing so dont shout at me **hides**
just checking cos if not i'll stick to running and riding, thanks

WHY ARE YOU ASKING THIS QUESTION??
 - sorry, just had to because you said not to lol. Seriously though, although I don't know your technical answer I can totally relate. Last time I was in the states we were at my mom's and next door this is this big trampoline. The kids were playing on it half the day so I thought, "What the heck." Good grief I was out of breath. After a while I had to take a break because I was pooped and the kids were going all day.
I say YES, it's just got to be good cardio because it does get your heart rate up and that's what cardio is supposed to do. So, logically I say GO JUMPING

I think it's fine, and not to mention, no impact. I've wanted one, I think they're fun. Perhaps good childhood memories of them as well and how time on them was metered out in tiny increments. But I wondered the same thing, for the same reason.
They fun and don't seem like the harsh cardio associated with running. But, you do work up a sweat and I'd think that if you practice different moves it may even help you become more limber.
Sounds like fun.

What's wrong with the question? It's perfectly legitimate and has a great place on the forum. In fact, if it weren't FOR the trampoline, a lot of people probably wouldn't get any aerobics. It's fun to do, it does work, it helps vestibular training,....
So, uhm,.....what did you think was wrong with this question again?
