tuna (fish)

my parents won't let me take creatine and i want to boost my levels so i am wondering about how much creatine is in a typical can of tuna? i am also wondering if tuna or sardines are cooked and how much creatine does it take away if it's cooked. i am also wondering other NATURAL sources for creatine. i'm not going to take risks with samelnilla. is it alright to eat raw fish also?

Creatine is found in most red meat but in small amounts. You'd have to consume a lot of red meat to get the supplementation of creatine.

Ditto, the amount of red meat you'd have to eat would outweigh any benefits you may achieve.

Why do you want to take creatine?

From my experience, Creatine is worthless- Maybe it is just the brands that I have used, or maybe its just me. But I've used GNC's Creatine Monohydrate, which didn't even dissolve in the glass of grapejuice... noticed "improvements" but I think I would have gained them either way because they werent rapid or impressive. Then I switched to a 60 dollar 7lbs tub of Cell-Tech, wow... What a waste. I took it for probably 1-2 months, I have been off it for 1-2 weeks now and my bench has gone up, and my arms have not gotten any smaller, if anything bigger. I bought a tub of Phosphaghen HP for 30 dollars, but I decided that since neither of the others worked I would just stick to Protein + Gaining Weight + Hard Exersice. If you want something that will make you grow I would take a ZMA stack before you go to bed, I can tell when I take one because my "Morning Shave" theres a lot more hair then normal... And you can tell your parents its just vitamins, Zinc, Magnesium, and Vitamin B-6, They cant object to that.

I too have had no gains from creatine. I have tried it with loading and w/o loading. I tried it for about 3 months (3 cycles) and had nothing. Got off of it without any changes.

Seems like for some people, creatine is useless whereas others (Todd comes to mind) have great success with it.

I think most supplements are a waste of money anyway. Food is the best supplement you can get imo =)

One of the ladies at the gym told me she read that there was lots of creatine in semen....
I think I'll just stick to the stuff in the container!

the reason your creatine didnt dissolve is because creatine doesnt dissolve

and u should never put it in grape juice, the high amounts of vitamin C degrade it very fast so it is useless

Grape juice is O.K. The reason you mix it with grape juice is because of its low vitamin C. More than likely grape juices will not have a considerable amount of vitamin C, unless its fortified. Citrus juices from concentrate are what you want to avoid with when mixing.

lol @ brakes !!

anyway.... what about citric acid and creatine? will that degrade it?

I've heard that is just a myth.

Think about it... if citric acid can break destroy creatine, how does creatine survive in our stomachs where there are much more powerful acids?

also.... some creatine supplemets like cell-tech and american stamina contain citric acid.

can these companies possibly be stupid enough to do that? i think not....

so i don't think citric acid destroys creatine

Ok guys ill get to TEENPUMPERS question, heehhe
TUNA is nice, and wether you get it in BRINE or OIL its tasty either way, mostly YELLOWFIN TUNE which is your regular canned tune, WESTONS n other brands, and for a 100Gram Tin which you would eat easily in 1 sitting, there is 25Grams approximate of Protein so that is 25% of whatyour eating is protein and that would have to be much better than eating Meats, and also Fish have other extra vitamins/minerals, forogt what was the name but one helped against heart cancer, so yea if anything TUNA is good for you and its 25% protein approx

Creatine should be taken with grape juice, or any juice not containing citric acid. Citric acid denatures Creatine Monohydrate into a waste product. Do not take Creatine with orange juice. Caffeine excretes water from the body ,which negates Creatine's cell volumizing effects. Sufficient hydration levels must be maintained for optimum Creatine Monohydrate absorption. It is advisable to drink 1 - 2 gallons of water/day.
