Unproportional Strength?

im right-handed and i notice that my right arm is a lot more defined than my left, but when it comes to lifting, my left arm is stronger. is that unusual? does anyone else have that problem?

Right handed,
My right bicep is allot stronger but my bench is way stronger on the left side. Sounds like we have the same problem.

Well, I'm not sure what you mean by "everyone" but it certainly isn't uncommon by any means.

My left side is definitely stronger on bench, especially DB press. I'm right-handed.

Same thing with me, I am right handed and my right bicep is stronger, and my left tricep is stronger. Also with 1-arm DB rows, my left is stronger than my right, yet my right forearm is stronger than my left.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say,...it is not uncommon to find these types of discrepancies.

I'm rite handed and my rite is side is stronger form legs, to biceps to triceps. On bench I sometimes hav problems, my rite side goes up, left duznt move, weights crash....

so if my right arm was more substantially defined than my left, should i start to favor my left arm more? the last thing i want is to have unproportional arms.

I think that it's common for the non-dominant arm to be slightly stronger in grip strength; the dominant arm has superior motor skills for precision (don't know if this relates to upper arm strength)

No don't train one arm more then the other. What I have noticed is my shoulder placement say on curls, I keep my right shoulder tight to my body and my left kind of swings out and forward. I have to concentrate on keeping my shoulders and eldows in the same place. Same thing on french press, my left elbow tweaks out a tich and again I have to concentrate on keeping everything the same on both sides. Might be the same for you. This explains why my left arm is slightly smaller then my right. I cheat with one arm and not the other.

I f one arm is weaker than the other your chest muscle compensates for this to try and keep a balance and this is why your bench will be stronger on the other side
